Eligibility
Anyone can participate in the hackathon but developers must be present with their teams and coding on site Saturday and Sunday.
Teams of up to 10 people are allowed for coders.
Teams that will only be presenting a presentation are limitted to 5 people
Requirements
Submission must meet the prize guidelines in order to be eligible for said prize. All submissions must be be applications/apps that were coded, mobile or web.
Only High School students can have prototyped applications or presenations made up soley of powerpoint presentations.

For the best app in one of the following categories:
1) Traffic

3) City Government
4) Child Care

EC Hispanic Media Challenge
The challenge is to build an app (mobile or web) that grants teenaged to adult Latinos easy access to local tech
workshops, hackathons, summits and tech jobs. The app will use the Indeed API (http://www.indeed.com/publisher)
to get data on the currently listed tech jobs and the meetup API (http://www.meetup.com/meetup_api/) to find
upcoming technology events in local areas. The app must be built in a way that is innovative and fun for the user. Let’s
use the capabilities of today’s smartphones to their maximum potential and pique the interest of tech-savvy Latinos
from pre-teen to adult.

MCS Workforce Development
An app that grants teen aged and adult Latinos easy access to local tech workshops, summits and tech jobs via an online job portal.

Best Overall Use and Integration of Microsoft Technology
Qualifying technologies: OneNote, Office 365, Azure, Kinect for Windows, Windows 10 App, OneNote, Bing, Visual Studio.
High School Team Prize presented by Sabio
Awarded to the a High School team. To be eligible for this prize, the team should be made up of only high school students.
You do not need to code a solution or app but remember that you may be competing with those that did code an app. So if you are simply presenting an app idea, but sure that is is great!
Ideas should involve tech in some way and be in one of the following categories:
1) Traffic
2) Public Transportation
3) City Government
4) Child Care
5) Physical Health Space
